The 2011 FanFest was AWESOME! We waited nearly two hours at Willie Mays Plaza to get into the event for our World Champion Giants, but it was an enjoyable wait. It was a lot of fun mingling with all the other fans. It was nice to talk about winning a World Series instead of what we need to do to get that trophy. When we finally entered AT&T Park it was like game 5 of the World Series, the victory parade, Christmas Day, New Year Eve and Easter all wrapped up into one.

The first thing I did was sit behind home plate and listen to the live broadcast interview with Tim Lincecum, followed by Freddy Sanchez , Andres Torres and Matt Cain. At the beginning and end of each interview the crowd of approximately 40-50,000 would erupt into huge rounds of applause. It was AMAZING!

If you were there for autographs, you were standing in line at least two hours, but nobody seemed to mind. Funny winning a World Series makes fans a little happy. Speaking of being happy, it was nice for me personally as Giants fans were coming at me from all directions for a photo with the Rally Pumpkin. I did an interview for Giants Magazine and a video interview.

The weather was incredible. It was in the 70's bright sunshine, no wind and not a cloud in the sky. The event did not last long enough. I'm starting to get 'that feeling' in my gut. C'MON BASEBALL! GO GIANTS! REPEAT! BEAT LA!

It’s almost time for baseball! Pitchers and catchers report shortly and the first pitch of the season will be thrown before you know it. And for the first time ever in San Francisco, the Giants are the defending World Champions. Wow. How great does that sound! It’s still hard to believe that the Orange and Black brought the trophy back to the Bay Area. It was worth all of the torture. Now it’s time to defend the title. I can’t wait for Opening Day 2011!
